The development of fender the company
Throughout Fenders many years it has went through ongoing bussiness changes. In 1965 the company experienced their first big change. Leo Fender had become very sick and decided to sell the company to CBS. CBS bought the company for $13 milion. After the sale the guitars had a reduction in quality. On 1981 CBS hired William Schultz as president.
In 1985 Schultz, employees, and investors purchased the company from CBS. This created a smaller but very dedicated group of people. In 1991 the company's headquaters were moved to Scattsdale, Arizona. The company is currently still succesfully ran out of Arizona.
